Spotify Takes Down Payola Platform Spotlister.com

Rumors have been swirling about Spotify taking action against paid promotion services regarding playlists since their direct listing announcement on the NYSE. Today a payola-esqe company where artist bid on playlist slots has been taken down by Spotify. First Spotify had taken action on the name of the platform hence the SPOT in the name which took the initial website offline. Later, they reemerged for only a few hours as jamlister.com but soon after had a messaging on their website directing people to refunds explains that Spotify had removed their API access. As Spotify gets closer to its IPO its easy to tell they are cleaning up their image and removing platforms that break their terms of use.
